Free printable shooting targets

The right target makes practice measurable. A zero target with a grid tells you exactly how many clicks to move your sights. A drill sheet with small, numbered shapes forces you to slow down and call your shots. A full-size silhouette tells you whether your hits would actually count.

Print on plain letter paper for pistols at 3 to 10 yards, and use larger paper or a backer for rifles. For zeroing, pick a target with a 1-inch grid and a small, high-contrast aiming point; it makes it easier to see where each group lands relative to your point of aim. Always check the printed scale with a ruler if the target uses grid measurements.

Staple or tape targets to a backer that sits in front of a safe backstop, and follow the range's rules on target types and placement.
